Fri the 13th:triskaidekaphobia

Another wallpaper-inteded drawing. I was going to vector it, but I really wanted to get it finished before, well, Friday the Thirteenth last year. I actually made two copies of this wallpaper though one was a crappy placeholder that can be seen on Y!. For the sake of completeness I have both writeups here.

THIRTEENTH SLAYING STILL BAFFLING POLICE

Authorities still have no leads on the deaths of thirteen unrelated people in the city in less than two weeks. While officials are keeping a low profile about evidence in this bizarre series of killings, inside sources say that the police are quite confident they are all the work of a single perpetrator.

Adding to the mystery is that thus far there have been no witnesses to the crimes. However, the man who found the sixth body (who chose to remain annonymous), told the Free Crier that when he found the body, it was "pretty chewed up, like with a chainsaw," adding that "it was like one of those slasher flicks."

As we enter the thirteenth day of the killings, authorities are advising all citizens to stay off the streets after sundown, and to report any suspicious activity immediately.

Wow, that was sorta fun. Did this with real inks when I realized I didn't have enough time to vector it (hafta be done today, after all!). The result was just as fun and terribly annoying as I remembered it to be. The colouring's not perfect, but does the job. I WILL however make a better wallpaper sometime soon to replace this one. Think of it as a placeholder, alright? xD. Enjoy!

"... while police are still waiting for coroners' reports, witnesses say that at least six of the bodies were heavily maimed, possibly with a chainsaw. Though there hasn't been any official word from police chief's office, many are already speculating this latest string of murders may be related to last year's Friday the thirteenth murders in October. The crimes, which left thirteen dead in two weeks, were left unsolved. Police comissioner Stihl has stated that while they cannot conclude anything without sufficient evidence, but that they 'haven't ruled out the possibility' that the two sets of crimes may be related.

Just another wallpaper based on what I posted earlier. I like this one a bit more, but there's still something missing... I got the awesome font here, and it was perfect in getting both the horror and whimsical feeling just right. The blood effects I got... somewhere... ask Spindy, y'alright? Good Engrish is so much harder to write than it looks...
