inquire:a clue

A lot of people really like this piece, honestly I like this piece too. It was really quick to do, but it turned out alright. Perspective's a lil bit off, but I think it's alright, yeah? Here's the original writeup.

inquire/a clue!

The trail ended at the base of the drawer; but as the young detective slowly rose up on one knee, scratching his head with his antique magnifying glass, something caught his eye.
"It's a clue!" he announced excitedly, "The game is afoot!"

It's been a while, eh? I've actually been working on a sprite project, but I haven't had anyreal urge to draw for some reason... so I asked for a random word from the UWGamers. I ended up with the word "inquire" courtesy of one JeffC, a friend of mine.

I racked my brain for a while, inquire's a tough one, yeah? My original thought was doing a private eye, I'd been listening to some hardboiled jazz for a while. But the more I thought about it, the less I could make it look like "inquire". I'll still probably draw that picture sometime, but for now, I came up with this cutie. It's rather obvious that I based this on Sherlock Holmes, but I played with the colours a bit to make things a bit less boring for myself.
